TRAIN TICKETS

ME ON THE TRAIN, THE GOOD PART-Trang.

When my brother and I booked our tickets in Ko Lanta, we were told it was a first class train with air conditioning. When in Trang our train arrived and it definitly was not first class for starters. The train had no air and it was not the most comfortable ride to Hua Hin.
We had not a bad beginning of the trip up until after dinner. After dinner and spending quite a lot of money on the overpriced beer(100bht each) we were basically forced to go to bed. The problem with this is that it was only 9:00pm and by brother and I were in no way ready to sleep at that point. We finally bent under pressure and slept for a few hours until we made it to Hua Hin. The problem here was that my brother and I paid for lower beds and ended up having to sleep up top.
The bottom line is that is if you prepurchase train tickets make sure your aware of what you are getting into. Except for the rude behaviour by one of the train staff, it wasn't all that bad, just not what we paid for (750bht each).
If you want to see more photos and comments of our crazy train ride, check out my albums on my homepage.
