Just outside the small rural village of Dan Sai, famous for its annual Phi Ta Khun Festival (page by VT member ‘trisanna’) we saw some temple buildings on a hill and really doubted if we should visit still another Wat. But we decided to do and drove about 1 km to reach the car park. We left the car and were completely speechless: what a fantastic setting of this complex: a beautiful garden with cropped lawns and trees, which seemed to be carved with nail scissors and marble walks.The buildings are constructed of laterite and designed from the imagination of both monks and novices. The most impressive part of Wat Neramit Wipattasana is the interior of the ordination hall. A huge hall with a black marble floor, which mirrored the fantastic Buddha images, filigreed pillars and walls with numerous splendid murals. Just an unbelievable picture in such a peaceful and serene setting and...
