Ashkabad has a few discos, they are pricey for the country but cheap by western standards. There are a lot of young girls at the discos, high on drugs. The oddest thing is that Iranian and Afghani men come across the border in packs to buy an hour or so with the young Turkmen girls, while their own wives are probably at home and tied up! Careful, this is very much a POLICE STATE!
