The Taxi Drivers place: Fresh Hot Bread out of tamdyr

by Ekahau

Fresh Hot Bread out of tamdyr, a traditional clay oven in Turkmenistan Now this is as about as close to heaven as you can get in Turkmenistan. A Chorek the bread backed in a clay oven like the photo below. Oh so taste fresh baked flat bread with crusty, golden brown surface mixed with smoke. Yes it crackles and melts in your mouth. a. The bread keeps the glow of embers of ardent oven, the fragrance of smoke. It crackles in than and melts in the Vters mouth.

There is a mix of places to...

by catdockev

There is a mix of places to eat in Ashgabad. Turkish, Syrian, and shashlyk!!! This is a picture of a traditional wedding. I was lucky enough to stop in at a wedding party. Three couples, two in western attire and this one. The music and dancing was hypnotic, but the couples looked scared not happy? The ancient and traditional wedding garb really tells of the 'eastern traditions' that make up the Turkmen culture. Lamp with muchrooms!!! I think they meant Lamb with mushrooms!
