And if the water isn't appealing to you, go to the Pimamid complex, where for a few sums at the entrance, and an additional 1500 per person you can splash in their huge swimming pool, which is convverted into an ice-rink in the winter.
If you go by car, enjoy the road trip, and don't hesitate to stop for some honey tasting or buying some berries and cherries from the side-road vendors, local producers... delicious!

In winter, you can sky,or even use an helicopter which will bring you to the topest slopes. In summer, the view is really worth seing, and you can catch a bit of fresh air.... Rather precious on a hot summer Uzbeck day. From there, you can also go hiking.
What might scare you is the the looks of the cable-car... but after having asked the owners how many accidents they last had, the answer was: none, excepts for the drunks going up there!
So don't be worried, be adventurous, keep your shoes tight, or take them off and keep them on your hand!!! It's really worth it!
Once up there, you'll see a very old tradition, an inheritance from zoroastrism: small pieces of cloth tight to the fence or on bushes or trees... You make a wish, tie the cloth, and must come back once the wishes has been granted!!!
ÇIn winter, your normal sky/surfing equipement. If you're really early, you'll be able to rent some gear.
