 | Ho Chi Minh City Restaurants | Tips 91 - 100 of 520 | | Ate dinner in this restaurant. The servings are ample, the ambience is great, the airconditioning is comfortable, the tables, well-spaced out, but it is the food, yes the food, which will make me come back. They have a pre-set menu worth about $10-12 US dollars that is worth looking into and would already give you a very good sampling of the local cuisine. And this is fine dining. Huge microbrewery serving Czech style beer Hoavener reasonable priced starting at 14,000vnd, this place is packed with mainly locals percentage wise (as I said it's huge). Pretty large well priced menu helps soak up the beer. Leave a Comment

There are thousands of restaurants in HCMC, from luxurious ones like Au Manoir De Khai, Mandarine, Nam Phan or those located in 5 star hotels to small-and-no-name food shops lying along streets. Most of them serve Vietnamese cuisines (of course), but you also can easily find other types such as Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Italian, French and so forth. In my restaurant tips, I just give you hints about some Vietnamese restaurants I LIKE and name & address of restaurants from outsiders. However, if you want to know more, ask! I tried to avoid the larger restaurants and ate most of my meals at vendors or open-air stalls. In Vietnam, food is everywhere! No matter where you stand in Vietnam, there is food within a stone throw away.....just be on the lookout for the word 'Pho' which is the Vietnamese main dish, noodle soup. Original CA Burrito is closed. New restaurant is called Glass Noodle on Nguyen Trung Truc (stones throw from Ben Thanh Market). Still good burritos, along with many other tasty western dishes.

This is my lunch about three times a week, great deli seving gourmet sandwhiches and salads (and some main courses). The restaurant itself is on the park in fron of the reunification palace, very chic but very busy with expats at lunch so get there early.

This is a retro style restaurant that serves a range of full size meals, or if you prefer, just a cup of coffee. What would Uncle Ho think about this establishment I wonder. I like the bookshelves around the ground floor and the big soft seats. This place had style and substance! The food was good too!
I had a delicious pizza here one night for dinner! It was well made and tasty. I'm sure the restaurant is on Ngo Duc Ke Street, which runs perpendicular to Nguyen Hue.

It translates to something like that. The guy that owns the restaurant is a Viet Kieu. I was told that he went all over town and got all the best vendors on the specific dishes (on the menu) to come to work for him, so whatever you''re eating there is supposed to be made from the best vendor in town. Originally, it was too expensive for the locals to eat there, only the Viet Kieu and the tourists could afford it. They have since dropped the prices and it's always pack.
Bun thit nuong and Xoi vo. Yumm!!! I'm so hungry just thinking about it. Also, try some of their Che dessert. Having dinner at the Rex Hotel is quite a nice way to end a busy day in Saigon! It's quite a romantic venue to spend with your significant other and its crazy to think that it used to be the spot where reporters and military personnel used to have dinner during the war. Eating dinner at the restaurant on top of the hotel was wonderful because you could see awesome sights of nightime Saigon with all the streets and buildings lit up. The food is ok, overpriced, but you can't beat the nostalgia. Leave a Comment Theme: FrenchPrice: US$41 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than average
