Update Jan 20, 2010:
We recently dined at this restaurant again. Unhappy to report that we can no longer recommend it. Patty's marinara spaghetti entree showed up without sauce. When questioned, the plate was returned to the kitchen and came back w/marinara sauce on it, no explanation. However, about 30 seconds later it was discovered it had been returned with hair in it also. When this was pointed out to the waitress, she offered to redo or replace the dish. When Patty said she did not want it, it had taken her appetite away, the dish taken away, with no apology. I ate my dish, a Mexican burrito but of course was a bit uncomfortable with the situation. The burrito was fine. When the bill came, we were charged for the spaghetti dish and when we asked to have it removed the waitress questioned us as to why. Eventually it was removed but without any apology. Upon paying the bill, they required exact amount as they could not make change. Bill was 72000 dong and we were trying to pay with a 100,000 dong note.
There are too many excellent restaurants in Saigon to bother with this type of cleanliness/service/attitude.
Original review June, 2007:
Great Enchilados, Burritos and other Mexican food. Large selection of other ethnic foods also. Low prices. We ate here twice. Prices about average for this area (cheap, most entrees under $1). We had Enchiladas, Quesadilo, Mango Salad, 3 fruit drinks and 1 Iced tea for 91000 dong or about $5.65.
Favorite Dish: HUGE juice shakes for 22000 dong or about $1.30
Small restaurant with a small sushi bar. Grilled meats are cooked outside over a large charcoal grill. The Chicken Wings are excellent, as are several of the Pork Skewers. Haven't had a bad skewer yet. The sushi is always fresh and it's reasonably priced too! Staff is very attentive and friendly.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Wings
Garlic Pork with Asiago Leaves
