    La Lua Wild Rice: Atmosphere

This restaurant is owned by the first Vietnamese person I met here (apart from the taxi driver from airport) Mr Tik, who also owns the melody hotel where i first lived 12 years ago. The restaurant is in a beautifully renovated colonial villa serving upscale (but not expensive) contempory Vietnamese fair. My last visit was with my parents some time back and the meal was top notch, as was the service.

Wild Rice (La Lua): Best Restaurant in Hanoi

World class. Top-notch Vietnamese food served in a dazzling French colonial villa. If you're in Hanoi, you must visit this restaurant. Very good service. The cuisine ranges from classic to comtemporary Vietnamese, with nothing too exotic and everything delicious and beautifuly presented.

Favorite Dish: Prawn and cashew nut nem (Hanoi deep-fried spring rolls), mixed seafood soup, bananna leaf-roasted tuna.
