You may see women carrying loads of fruit and think great photo opportunity. So do they!! They will ask whether you want a photo or if you are with someone else give them the pole to carry and for them to have their photo - for a price!!!

You will find it a bit hassling here. As soon as I arrived I found touts everywhere! In the OFFICIAL Vietnam Airlines bus the driver (!) wanted to take me to his friend's hotel, and insisted in taking me around for more than 30 minutes stopping at several "recommended, cheap and convenient" hotels he knew...
Then I went down in the middle of somewhere and took a taxi to the hotel I pretended to stay in....
And the motodriver did the same!!! He took me to a friend's hotel and insisted that I should go up and see the rooms. After some arguing I got him to take me where I wanted, but the hotel was full.
So at the end I let myself go and ended up in his hotel, LOL
