Favorite thing: We got here by hiring a taxi driver for 36 hours from a local travel agent we happened to pass by in Ho Chi Ming City. The vehicle was an Opel Sedan with aircon and very comfortable.
This is a nice and quiet resort town with good seafood restaurants.

Favorite thing: English is till not widely used in Vung Tau except at hotels. When taking a taxi it is always advisable to ask the receptionist to help you write your intended destination in Vietnamese and bring along a hotel card. The taxi drivers here are very obliging and says 'yes' to everything but in actual fact they may not understand where you really want to go!
