Lan Rung Restaurant: The red snapper was excellent!
You see big lights from the street, so you get curious, and getting closer. . .the smell of the food is dragging you inside. . . . . . Inside, well, in fact it is mostly an open air restaurant, designed like a beer garden, which looks very popular, for locals and foreigners. Some areas are like a rain forest, other areas are designed like a cave, an original design! There were lots of people, which to me means that the food must be good and fresh!
There is a big choice on the menu.
Be careful, do not order too much; I ordered a grilled red snapper, and thought I could add some fried rice and then have a desert. . . The snapper arrived with rice and vegetables, more than enough, and then arrived the fried rice with more side dishes. . . . I liked a lot that food, but it was too much (and I am not a small eater!).
I had Saigon beer of course, and was well treated by the kind waitresses. A nice evening!

Restaurant Along Front Beach
We ate at a Vietnamese restaurant along front beach near the hydrofoil pier. It had excellent spring rolls and an ample supply of Ba Ba Ba Beer. Indoor and outdoor seating just across the street from the water, and prices as low as could be expected in a touristy area of Vietnam. On this weekday we were the only customers in the restaurant.
Have a seat on the beach and inevitably you will be offered a menu for food. There is a big selection of dishes available. The prices are somewhat more expensive than restaurants in town but not by western standards.
Favorite Dish: Fresh fruit! There is nothing like cold fruit to enjoy while you're sitting on the beach. It's often best if accompanied by a fruit juice or a margarita.
