Sitting on a rowing boat along the river you can almost imagine that you are set back in time. Passing by the little huts and occasional people bathing in the water is a great way to feel that you really are in Vietnam!

One stop of on the tour is to see someone making incense sticks by the road side - it's amazing to think that they are all hand-made -watching the girl rolling away at top speed almost made me feel grateful for my own job!!

You can hop on the back of a motorbike for a few thousand dong and they'll take you up to the top of the mountain to admire the view. If you choose to walk down, be prepared for a bit of leg ache the next day. plenty of people selling refreshments though on the steep return stair climb!

This is the only place you can find night life after 9pm in Can Tho. Can Tho town is brightly lighted at night, so it is quite safe to walk around looking for eat out place.
There are lots of eating outlets around the super market entrance. Carts with steam stuff such as ground nuts, corns are highly concentrated in this area.

The biggest attractions in the Mekong Delta are the various floating markets. It is here that you will see what life in the Delta is all about. Small scale vendors cruise the water in often miniscule vessels while the big boys can sit still on ships that nearly form islands in the mad jumble that is the bustling marketplace. Fruits are big with locals as well as tourists, neither able to abstain from the bargains that this lush paradise can offer. The photo opportunities are endless so bring lots of film and the best time to get out there is early in the morning. Even the tours get an early start.

The Mekong Delta is a lush paradise full of swaying tropical palms, abundant fruit, and more water than even the locals can put to use. But they do try, from fishing to local transport; it is the water that gives this magical land its true worth. So, when down in the Delta, get out on the water as much as possible. That’s what the locals do!

Some of these boat people calling this as their home. I am not talking about nice boat house docked at very scenic lake or river side, but this is their livelihood and also where they bring up their generations.

This is one of the tourist boats used by top end resort bring their guest to Can Tho floating market. The boat I was in was hardly quarter of its size, but that does not discount the level of satisfactory of mine for Can Tho trip.
Notice the red face big eyes designs; it is found on every boat in Can Tho. It’s especially funny to see smaller soils transporting boat with its red face almost submerge in the water. How not to scare the *** out of those great crocodiles in Mekong?
