Van Phuc Silk Village

You will see rows of shops selling silk products as you tour Van Phu Silk Village.

I was expecting to see a silk factory just like in SuZhou but cannot seem to see any.

The silk quality is also quite different from those shinny high quality silk products that i saw in SuZhou, China.

bus ride to Ha Dong

Lan, Garth, hubby and I took a 30 mins bus ride from Hoan Kiem Lake to Ha Dong. The bus fare was 3,000 VND per person.

We were glad that we found empty seats on the bus. We started chatting with each other and got to know each other during our bus ride to Ha Dong.

Ha Dong is the place to go if you would like to purchase silk products.

Most of the goods sold in Dong Xuan are made in Ha Dong and "exported" to Hanoi for sale at a higher price.

You can join a day tour to the silk village too.

Ha Dong Sign Board

When you see this sign board, you should alight at the next stop.

Take this path and walk down the street and you will be starting your tour of the Van Phuc Silk Village.
