The restaurant at 62 Tran Phu has one of the best locations in Nha Trang, right opposite the beach. The staff are young and friendly. it's a relaxing place to sit and drink beer, but I think their seafood is a bit too expensive.
You can choose your own fresh fish and shellfish, including lobster, and then it will be barbecued immediately.
Lac Cahn is a very well known restaurant near the heart of Nha Trang. It's tucked away on a side street a few clocks from the Nha Trang market. They serve a variety of seafood and meat dishes, and the quality and consistency are excellent.
Favorite Dish: My favorite is Chao Tom (shrimp on sugarcane), but we also had excellent Kho Ga (fish in clay pot) and canh chua (sour soup). Everything was quite good...
This is one of the absolut best restaurants in all of Vietnam and without a doubt one of the most cheapest!
When in Nha Trang you must try this fabialous restaurant serving vietnamese and italian food along with burgers and other international courses.
Prices range from only 8.000 VND ( example seafood soup or mix salad) to 45.000 VND!! You can even get a set menu for 39.000 VND!!
The restaurant is owned by a very friendly family who takes great pried in their place. This is a strong recommedation!!

Really good western/German food (we're English). Great bread, sausages etc. More expensive than some local places (obviously) but what a refreshing change
Favorite Dish: Bread and sausages! Italian tuna pate and bread was good.
The Nha Trang speciality is seafood. It is a large fishing port and must be tried.
Any of the restaurants can help with a selection and it is worth the effort to try local dishes.
Favorite Dish: I like a whole fish.
A little more expensive than we have paid previously but well worth it.
Favorite Dish: We had 4 dishes and 4 serves of rice needless to say we couldn't finish all of it. Can't remember what we had but they were all good.
An excellent seafood dinner - prawns in coconut to die for - followed by a huge portion of home made ice cream in numerous exotic flavours. I couldn't choose so ordered 3 different scoops!
Surroundings were very pleasant and the service was excellent. Price was also very good.
Varied menu of western staples, burgers, fries etc and also an extensive list of local dishes and local seafood.
Favorite Dish: Anything from the sea!
Somewhere out in the bay off Nha Trang you will find this restaurant. To get to it you have to leave your boat and be ferried across on a floating platform. The view across the bay is calming and the owners are very friendly. We were unsure of what to order so they suggested a seafood lunch at $7 per head.
We enjoyed a huge grilled fish, some soup (seafood naturally), prawns and crabs plus rice. An excellent meal.
Favorite Dish: The crabs were fantastic.
Most of my time in Nha Trang, I ate at the restaurant attached to the equally named hotel. You don't have to stay in the hotel to eat here. The restaurant is outdoors (but covered), though there's also a possibility to eat indoors.
The people here are very friendly, and once even invited me over to join the family & staff for dinner... That might however have had something to do with the fact I was there so often, and even tended to spend my evenings there.
Still, it can't be a coincidence that both the friends I made in VN with whom I'm still mailing both work here (hello Thao, hello Oanh Thu). The place breaths conviviality, despite the many tourists (both foreign and domestic) it receives. Some Vietnamese even have their wedding here, and who can blame them with the high quality of the food, and the relatively low prices.
We loved this place. The food was really good, tasty and cheap. Outdoor dining allowed us to watch the world go by
Favorite Dish: Hot pots and seafood or chicken lemongrass and chilli. Yum.........
A very large beer garden type place. Unsure of the name. Ate the biggest and best prawns I've ever had. Good beer too!'.........
Favorite Dish: Huge barbqued prawns
Nice sitting with the locals.
Most of the Vetnamese ate beef they could stew in a big clay pot.
We ordered shrimps and rice (28000 dong)
and octopus with a very good sauce (18000 dong)
