Omar's Tandoori Cafe: The OVERPRICED Indian Restaurant
Food here is very good but hardly warrants the high prices.
Service was ok, not great, not overly friendly, with a seemingly overall mood of indifference. $9USD for a set dinner is very high for Indian food anywhere in Vietnam. Further, this is a very small street cafe of no apparent distinction other than it's having been recommended by Lonely Planet.
Omar's is advertised as THE Indian Restaurant on their flyer, which further states that "the Indian delicacies are cooked by master chef Mr. Omar from New Delhi, India" It also states that there are two Omar's in Nha Trang and another in both Hue and Hoi An. Hmmm....Mr Omar must be quite busy dashing back and forth between all four restaurants.....
Favorite Dish: The food really is rather good. I would rate it a 3 to 3.5 out of 5. However, pricing is so high and service so indifferent, with ambiance so mediocre, I can not say it was a satisfying experience.
Once again, Lonely Planet dissappoints.

Restaurant 7C: Good western food (German)
Really good western/German food (we're English). Great bread, sausages etc. More expensive than some local places (obviously) but what a refreshing change
Favorite Dish: Bread and sausages! Italian tuna pate and bread was good.
Omar's Deluxe: Indian
A little more expensive than we have paid previously but well worth it.
Favorite Dish: We had 4 dishes and 4 serves of rice needless to say we couldn't finish all of it. Can't remember what we had but they were all good.

Any: Seafood everywhere
The Nha Trang speciality is seafood. It is a large fishing port and must be tried.
Any of the restaurants can help with a selection and it is worth the effort to try local dishes.
Favorite Dish: I like a whole fish.

Ciao Vietnam Italian Restaurant: Nice little place!
This restaurant is one of many in the hotel/backpacking budget area of Biet Thu. On offer is Italian, Vietnamese and Thai food such as salads, sandwiches, pasta, pizzas, meat and fish dishes and desserts. I had a pizza here which wasn't bad. Nice little place!
Same Same But Different Cafe: Good breakfasts
This is a good little place that was just down the road from where I was staying. I had a good breakfast here every morning and a lunch of a burger and chips & drink for 52,000 VND. The food is great with Thai dishes on offer, along with Vietnamese and western food which comes with friendly service. Breakfast of baguette, butter, jam and coffee costs 30,000 VND.
Omar's Tandoori Cafe: Popular Indian
An extremely popular Indian restaurant is Omar's. The Indian owners and chef will boast to you about their quality fare, and rightly so as this small yet busy place feeds spicy sub-continental food to the masses. Mr Omar is from New Delhi and so knows his stuff. The menu has an extensive range of chicken, mutton, seafood, veggie and rice dishes along with the usual breads and starters. I had a good Indian meal here with curry, rice, naan and beer costing 125,000 VDN.
Boat Trip: Food
The boat boat-trip is offered by loads of travel agents and includes visits to four islands with much singing and swimming on the way. We stopped for lunch which was very good and consisted of prawns, fish, noodles, salad, bread and spring rolls which was included in the 120,000 VND price. Drinks cost extra.
Red Star: great food, little price
We loved this place. The food was really good, tasty and cheap. Outdoor dining allowed us to watch the world go by
Favorite Dish: Hot pots and seafood or chicken lemongrass and chilli. Yum.........
Lac Canh: Great stew
Nice sitting with the locals.
Most of the Vetnamese ate beef they could stew in a big clay pot.
We ordered shrimps and rice (28000 dong)
and octopus with a very good sauce (18000 dong)
unsure: Beer Garden
A very large beer garden type place. Unsure of the name. Ate the biggest and best prawns I've ever had. Good beer too!'.........
Favorite Dish: Huge barbqued prawns
