Camellia: What a menu!
N.S. profile photo

Menu is amazing long. Its hard to make a choise... too many (good) alternatives. Camellia salad was good, grilled deer was good, noodle soup was good and apple wine was excellent.
Unfortunately we found this place just last night. What a enermous injustice!

Ta Van Restaurant, Victoria Sapa Hotel: Fondue in Vietnam

Located in the only up-market hotel in Sapa, this retsaurant is not cheap, but well worth a visit, espcecially if you have been travelling for a while and are kind of tired of Vietnamese food.

Favorite Dish: Whilst the restaurant offers an extensive menu, I would opt for the Fondue or Raclette. Absolutely great stuff, especially when it is freezing outside!

The Gecko Bar & Restaurant: Cuisine Francaise

The owner and Chef, Alain, is as French as they come (in a positive sense). He has great French dishes, and a good selection of wine.

Favorite Dish: Tartouflette: Potatoes, covered with cheese, and cooked in a clay pot. Comes out of the oven piping hot and goes well with a cold beer.
