This is a relatively easy ride and is very enjoyable in good weather. My favourite part is riding along the wide roads and seeing the undulating limestone cliffs appearing before your eyes as you turn the corner. Some good photo opportunites of cliffs as backdrop against yellow padi fields, untouched villages and cliffs out of a Chinese painting make the ride worth the effort.

As part of the sight-seeing around the Ninh Binh province, you will pass many villages and small communities who clearly are largely self-sufficient from farming and the paddy fields all around. If you get a chance to visit these communities, you can watch or even help in farming activities.
They have no machinery only human and animal power. The land is very fertile and produces nearly everything these people need to live. Locals are friendly and curious.
