Bru Minority Village
On most DMZ tours you will visit the Bru ethnic minority village. I find this to be distasteful as you don't really get to know how the people live or what they are thinking. It is more like, "Hey, let's take pictures of the primitive people." I hope that they get money from the tour companies. With the tour you have go to the village. You may as well get out and try and talk to the people. The kids are cute but they want money for anything that they do. Bear with it. Go to Sapa, go to Northern Laos, even go to trekking in Chiang Mai. Try and find real trekking operations where you get to interact with the culture instead of having a human zoo.
