Although it’s too necessary to pack a lot of rain gear for Hue, you should have an umbrella to get to your hotel. The reason why I say its too necessary is because you can pick up really cheap high quality rain gear in town. I got a fantastic rain poncho for a buck fifty. How can you go wrong?

Hué has a special climat. Where in the north or south of Vietnam there is a dry season at some time in the year, in Hué it appears to be raining the whole time. Not so nice if you want to explore this lovely city by bicycle or just on foot. Leave a Comment

Slippers! Or you might find yourself wading in flood water in your walking/trekking shoes and they get really uncomfortable if you have to wear them for hours after they are drenched! Leave a Comment
