Take a small blue tourist boat around to see stuffs
Across the river from hotel Cuu Long there is some kind of zoo. Individual Guided tour. The guides actually know about the stuff. You pay for admission and then again for tour. It isnt' within walking distance from the ferry so make arrangements , or better to rent a small blue tourist boat for the day and have him take you to all of the places directly
The boat can take you to An Binh for lunch. Also can take you to the coconut candy making place where you can participate in making candy.

Do you really need that $9 latte from starbucks? A little cash goes a long way so while you're visiting why not help out directly?

why donate to a charity that just makes the owner and staff rich? Why not help out some orphan kids more directly? Travel deep into the countryside and see how people actually live and also blow a wad of cash helping out some poor orphans who are good students.

smaller sprinter mini bus hourly departures to Vinh Long
less comfortable than big bus Phuong Trang, and no entertainment.
They will haul your motorbike (not tay ga) in the back if you buy 4 more tickets

Don't try to bribe police in Vung Liem. In sai gon, its common practice but many people from local govt advise that in Vung Liem, police don't take money and don't try.
Vung Liem local government is more political and more sensitive than other areas of vinh long

Chage of pace in the Mekong Delta
We journeyed south from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta where we travelled on various boats through the river and canal system. A welcome change of pace from Ho Chi Minh, slowly making our way......
