The casino puts on live music with great jazz and blues bands every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm. They also have a nightclub that plays all the best dance music from the 80s and 90s.

There are no pokies in the casino, most of the tables are too crowed to join in and way too expensive to play more than two hands. it only has one nightclub "Galaxy" which plays 80's music which is it's theme, I actually love 80's music...lol. The people are lovely and you do get treated pretty good. I guess after 1 hour you will get bored but walking to a different place won't take too long. There are two Irish pubs in the city and another in kingston which are great for the backpakers.

Casino Canberra is an stylish European styled casino. It provides all the main international games including baccarat, roulette, blackjack and keno.
Canberra has a lively theatre scene which offers a selection of top quality shows and concerts. There are also nightclubs and discos plus numerous cinemas.

Canberra has its own casino, located in the city area. I suspect that either you are, or are not, ‘a casino person’. While I have no objection to casinos, I am in the ‘not’ group and happily confess to never having visited this one. Their tag line that Casino Canberra is the heart and soul of the city, with … all the thrills of casino gaming seems to me just a little overstated, but should you be attracted to casinos there is quite a range of games available.

The Canberra Casino if you think you are a lucky person ;-) For me it was a good spot when it was really hot to cool down a little and looking at the sports. Gambling give me always a hole in my pocket ;-)
Canberra Casino offers you games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Sic Bo, Money Wheel, Pai Gow and American Roulette. Entertainment during the evening ranges from cabaret performances, karaoke, comedy and nightclub for over 25's.
Dress Code:
During the day you can get in without special dress code. Of course not in swimming pants ;-) In the evening from about 7 - 8 pm they ask you to be neat, but a costume is not required.
