Luggage and bags: Any trip especially to the snowy mountains require a lot of planning and preparation. BEWARE that even in the most pleasant mountain weather, temperature can change drastically!

Make sure you use a sturdy, waterproof backpack preferably or quality luggage which can easily be slung on your shoulders to keep your hands free to hold other things!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hence be prepared for the worst conditions so take a thick waterproof jacket, overtrousers, wooly socks, wooly hats/beanie, waterproof gloves, thermal underwear (tops & bottom) medium with top and jersey or fleece jacket/jumper and sunglasses or goggles to prevent snow blindness.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Lip balm and sunblock are essential ) It might be snowing but sometimes the sun is also intense. First aid is always a good thing to take for a mountain trip.

Photo Equipment: Waterproof cameras/video cameras if you can manage them

    sunblock is a must

by MikoNgSV Written Oct 2, 2004

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: if u are going during spring time, do make sure u have a sweater with u just in case the weather become cold. And at night, the weather is really cold. However, it is unneccessary to bring much clothes with u since most of the stays provide u with washing machine and dryer.

Photo Equipment: bring lots and lots of films if u are going in time for the Floriade.

Miscellaneous: be sure to bring sunblock even though it is spring or u might become very tan like me... (hehehe)....

    Packing List

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Since Canberra has extreme weather, you will need to bring warm clothing for the cold winter (it can snow), light clothing for the hot summers, and always bring something for wet weather.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Camping and outdoor gear is useful to bring, since Canberra lies in the valley area amidst mountains.

Luggage and bags: Canberra can become very cold in the winter months so rug up.
You will need to pack a pillow to rest your head cause this city is so boring you will fall into deep sleep all the time.

Photo Equipment: this pic is not one of mine hence the better quality its taken from www.exploreaustralia.com
pic taken with the premission of little jonny howard (the tosser who is the current Prime Minister)
every knows the real PM should be me but I refuse to be politically active hehehe

Miscellaneous: Another thing you will need in Canberra is a friend with a sharp needle to keep podding you so you remain awake from the Boredom .
well it's not really all that bad but our capital city sure makes for the brunt of alot of jokes behing only tasmania as the main source of of jokes made towards australians own expense.
It not really that bad my mate from canberra married his little sister .It's not like she was the closest in his blood line as he had to others sisters so I guess they are just a little way behind the tassie dudes who marry their own mums heheheeheeh

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take some warm clothes for the cool Canberra nights. It can get very cold at night, and even in the day sometimes the wind is freezing!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Canberra has everything you could need...
