Beach sunsets in WA!!!

by aussirose

Sunsets on the beach with a glass of wine are heaven!!! This is just one of my favourite things to do here in Perth!! Perth is also friendly and laid-back and I can't wait to explore more of this huge State of Australia. Stay tuned!!!In the meantime, I'd like to introduce you to a place near where I live - Mullalloo and Hillarys Boat Harbour. If you are in my neck of the woods and would like me to show you around, just flick me an email and I'll see what I can arrange.Mullalloo

Pub in Brunswick: Kitto live in Melbourne

by martin_nl

The night I was picked up by Paul and Kate (VT'er Kate-me) we went to have some dinner in the Italian section of Melbourne and afterwards went to the Cornish Arms pub in Brunswick for a concert by Kitto. She was a good performer. Her voice was really strong and so were the lyrics. Sometimes though her voice was a bit too strong/ low, but when she sang a bit higher it was just brilliant. If you want to know more take a look at her website. This is a piece of the journal she keeps on her website from the day she did the concert we saw:27/01/04 "Day Of Reckoning.. Well, Last friday I was in the car somewhere in Melbourne on the way to the gig at the Cornish Arms, when I happened to stop at the traffic lights at 5PM and turned into Triple J when they announced the premier of 'Catalina Dreaming'. My mobile was flat so could'nt call anyone... and overwhelmed, estatic, i wound down the car...

Any camp...: The campfire!

by TracyG

When out camping somewhere, the best entertainment is around the camp fire... You can dress however you want, don't have to worry about paying for expensive drinks, no entrance fee, and you get the best view when you are looking up at the stars...

Sugareef Nightclub: Sugareef!

by TracyG

It is more of a bar than a club, but it has such a lively atmosphere, that you just have to have fun. It plays a good mix of house and conventional music and the drinks are reasonably priced too. Smart/casual

Cave nightclub: Very cool Sydney!

by TracyG

This is probably one of the coolest places in Sydney to hear soul/R&B/funk etc. It is very trendy, and has a great dance floor (plenty of space) and the people are excellent. Drinks aren't cheap though... Pretty strict, no trainers, caps etc.

Heat: Super trendy!

by TracyG

Very trendy and plays very cool music that goes on all night. 3 rooms and great dancefloor, also the chance to spot a celeb..... They do great cocktails as well. Smart casual, though go as smart as you can, you will get an easier time from the door staff.

BAR FOR ALL AGES (WELL OVER 18): NORMANBY HOTEL BRISBANE

by Amelei

Okay just discovered this one guys on the weekend and i had some serious fun.......Another bar full of randos and good times. Lots of beer flowing, loads and loads of people and the place is quite big.It has pool tables, huge outdoor drinkie social thang going on, good music, nice bar staff and some dam hot guys haha ( girls this one is for us!!)Cheap drinks ( by standard bars i've been to) and the atmosphere is really cool.Live bands on Sunday in the Beer Garden. Nice to chill out listening to music when those more than above average Brisbane temperatures are soaring. I think i'll be seeing more of this place. Dress code, as ive repeated myself one too many times, is the usual. Dress to impress haha.I dressed as an indian gypsie for the hell of it.... people thought that was a laugh and i met loads of friendly faces. I like to be a little different :-)

Gay friendly bar: 'tHe BeAt'- GAY AND LESBIAN BAR

by Amelei

God i've had some fun here.I myself am not gay and non gayers like me, are all welcome. I remember one night i went with my sister and a girlfriend of mine to check it out. We bought a few drinks and were chilling out and i was eyeing off this gorgeous guy, thinking 'Dam, its always the way, gay, married or taken...' To cut a long story short we dated for years and i met him here. He was doing the same, came just to check it out with a group of friends. That same night, there was an announcement over the loud speaker saying that there was going to be a fashion show on shortly. We picked up our drinks and made our way over to watch the show.We got over there found some standing room, and hte show started. Drag queens came out in really kinky outfits and we're all just pissing ourselves laughing. The next thing we know there's a blow up pool on stage. Then without a word of a lie, buckets of...

Drinks and laughs and good times: The Royal Exchange Hotel Toowong Brisbane

by Amelei

Situated within 10 seconds of the Toowong railway station, and less than 10 minutes from the University of Queensland, the RE has a long tradition of quenching Brisbane's thirst. Dating back to the last century, the RE commenced its existence as a resting spot for weary travelers - somewhere where they could hitch their horses and grab some tucker, a welcome beer and a place to stay. Since then the culture of the place has understandably changed, although it remained a popular haunt with locals and travelers alike till the early to mid eighties. However, up until that time, another one of Brisbane's great pubs, the Regatta, had won over the hearts, minds and livers of Brisbane's highly active student population. The 'gatta was the place to drink as a student in the 70s and 80s. But then things started to change. The University of Queensland crowd, in particular, began to slide, ever so...

Bar/ Food: THE ELEPHANT AND WHEELBARROW

by Amelei

Traditional British Pub - with some great beers, food, live bands and loads more.Brunswick Street train station is located within a two minute walking distance. Taxis are available from Wickham Street taxi rank. Limited on street car parking is available and a 24-hour Forwin Chinatown car park is situated across from the property on Duncan Street.Had a great night one night here with an Aussie mate of mine who had just come back from Ireland. He said to me 'Hey Amelei watch this magic work...' He puts on his best attempt at an irish accent. I went away to dance and came back and i kid you not, he had 5 girls sitting with him talking. He was in heaven. All in all we had a great night. There was live music, a great dance floor, loads of funny funny people, and of course there was beer flowing. Its not my absolute favourite place in the world but it is fun!! As usual all dress code applies....
