12 km or so south of Hayes Creek is a rough track on the right heading off towards Depot Creek. further along either a rough bush track or no track at all are a number of nice swimming pools. km of pools and small falls run down to an eventual larger waterfall.
If you are travelling between Adelaide River, past Grove Hill Pub to Pine Creek, you will come across this interesting railway crossing and old station.
Do stop...as we did....and have a look around.
It's interesting to imagine what it might have been like in the old gold digger days when steam trains passed through and cars were a luxury...

This is a 'must see' to be believed. The Proprietors Stan and Mary are lovely people and Stan always has a good yarn to tell. On the last Saturday of every month this little pub comes alive with a free bbq & live music. Check out my travelogue & the link below for how to get there.
