    4 more images

Luggage and bags: I ALWAYS USE A SMALL BACKPACK THAT CARRIES MY NEEDED ITEMS.. (BELOW)
THE MAIN ITEM TO CARRY IS A LARGE BOTTLE OF WATER..

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE GOOD RELIABLE WALKING BOOTS/SHOES HERE AS A TWISTED ANKLE CAN MEAN DISASTER..
DUE TO WHAT CAN BE EXTREME HEAT OUT HERE WEAR A GOOD WIDE BRIMMED HAT FOR MAXIMUM SUN PROTECTION..
ANOTHER ITEM I FIND A MUST IS A PONCHO.. MINE IS A SMALL ROLLED UP POCKETSIZE .

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: I ALWAYS CARRY A GOOD INSECT AND MOSQITO REPELLANT WHEN TRAVELLING IN THE BUSH HERE..EASILY AVAILABLE ..
A GOOD SUNBURN PROTECTION CREAM AT LEAST 30+
.A SMALL PACKET OF FACEWIPES.ALSO HANDY FOR CLEANING SMALL INJURIES
A GOOD LIP BALM.AND A SMALL PACKET OF TISSUES IN CASE YOU HAVE TO GO...

Photo Equipment: A GOOD CAMERA IS A MUST OUT HERE TO CAPTURE THE MARVELLOUS SCENES OF NATURE.
THE NECCESARY CHARGING EQUIPMENT .(CHARGE UP BEFORE SETTING OUT FOR THE DAY.)
    A SPARE MEMORY CARD.
    AN INTERNATIONAL POWER PLUG ADAPTOR.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A SMALL SELF CHARGING TORCH..THIS IS A MUST

Miscellaneous: REMEMBER WHEN WALKING OUT HERE...CARRY PLENTY OF WATER ...NEVER WALK ALONE....AND ABOVE ALL BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN WALKING..LOOK WHERE YOU ARE TREADING !!!.THIS IS A VERY ISOLATED AREA..A TWISTED ANKLE CAN MEAN DISASTER. NO DOCTOR DOWN THE ROAD..
ALSO WHEN ARRIVING AT NATIONAL PARKS BEFORE SETTING OUT ....USE THE AMMENITIES..!!

'Me' with a kind of fly-net

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: light clothing
hat or at least a cap
    you really need a fly-net
    proper shoe wear/walking shoes

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: fly/insect repellent
    lip balm
    sun tan 30+
    sun glasses

Photo Equipment: spare memory on your digital camera or plenty of films
tripod for a sunset pic of Uluru

Miscellaneous: Never forget to buy water when leaving your accommodation for a (road) trip through the desert. During the trip from Alice Springs to Uluru it is possible to get water in Alice Springs, Glen Helen, Kings Canyon, Kings Creek, Curtin Springs and Uluru.

It is also possible to get petrol for your car in these places.

    Outdoor Gear

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good shoes are essential if you're going to be doing a lot of walking.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring these with you as you may not be able to get all at some small towns, plus you'll pay lots more.

Photo Equipment: Buy your film, etc in the city/larger towns before you leave.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Definitely a hat with corks (even if it looks silly!) or fly/mosquito netting in some seasons, when the flies and mosquitoes are bad (I'm told that flies are normally always bad out here)
