I enjoyed dinner here one evening 10 years ago, but on our recent visit I found the afternoon view of the Cullen Bay Marina better than the night.
This visit was to catch up with a young lad who grew up next door to us in Perth and had moved to Darwin to continue his profession as a Captain of a charter fishing boat operating from Cullen Bay Marina. He chose Buzz Cafe as one of the charter boats he captain's is in the pen next to Buzz Cafe.
We arrived early and enjoyed the view from the outdoor elevated deck. It was a good opportunity to observe the operation of this large cafe and at 3pm they were busy and still taking lunch orders. The meals looked good, and the bar staff were busy delivering cold beer and wine to the many tables.
When our friend arrived we ordered coffee and enjoyed the marina view as we discussed old times.

The Buzz Cafe offers alfresco dining at Cullen Bay and overlooks the marina and boardwalk. You can dine inside or outside and watch the boats sail by on the marina at one of the best locations in Darwin.
And gents, when nature calls I hope you don't suffer from stage fright. But rest assured that you can see them but they can't see you. Even a bright camera flash was not enough to put you in the spotlight. Go check it out!
It is fully licensed with a modern Aussie cuisine.
Favorite Dish: Definitely the rare rib steak... it's about half a bull and if that doesn't fill you up you still have half a paddock of spuds with vegies!

The food is OK, but you need to go and check out the male toilet. Its just unbelievable. The urinal is actually a 2 sided mirror so the blokes pee and watch all the diners outside but the diners cant see the urinal? The girls toilet is special also, it has very special toilet seats which vary from sea shells, barbed wire through to spiders.
