If you are in this part of the world surf! Or lay of the beautiful beaches, soak up the rays and read a book. Be careful of the sun though, its very strong here even in the winter. From late June to early August Copa is a great place to watch whales.

Gosford

A great day out on the Central Coast is to go by ferry from Gosford to Ettalong markets. You get a lovely commentary on the way and it's a nice relaxing trip. I highly recommend it!!

Bouddi National Park

Bouddi National Park is further down the road from MacMasters Beach. It has a lovely bushwalk down to this gorgeous bay with scenic lookouts on the way. When you get near the beach there are a lot of steps but if you take it easy, it's well worth a trip.
Also if you keep going up the road past Kilcare (another gorgeous beach), you come to Hardys Bay which has a lovely quaint pub for a cool drink and nice bay and boats scenery.

Avoca

Well as you can see by now, the Central coast is a great place to go from Sydney to enjoy the fabulous beaches. It is also a lovely place to holiday with the kids not far from Sydney.

Allmalay: Authentic Malaysian cuisine

A small restaurant which is Malaysian owned and run so the food is authentic - most of it anyway. They have to cater to local tastes and to work around the ingredients which are available so some of the dishes have been adapted.

They have four or five tables in the small outside area in addition to the indoor tables. Service is excellent; relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable.

They have an extensive menu with entrees, soups, satay, curries, stir fry, noodles, rice, desserts etc etc. The most expensive dishes are, of course, seafood but even the King Prawn dishes are only $17.

The restaurant is BYO with corkage at a low $2 per person.

Favorite Dish: We always have a vegetable dish, the one we like here is mixed vegetables in oyster sauce. Excellent dishes we've tried are crispy skin roast duck with plum sauce, sizzling chilli beef, Laksa and Char Kway Teow. The special fried rice is also very good.

MacMasters Beach

MacMasters Beach is my favourite beach on the Central Coast. It is more quiet than the others and the people who live there are lucky because there are lots of big gum trees around and space between the houses, most of them with long driveways among the scrub to get to. It's a peaceful place.
This is the inlet we used to go swimming in. Our dog loved it too.*

Avoca Beach

Favorite thing: We lived at Kincumber near 3 beaches, Avoca, MacMasters and Copacabana. The places I loved going to were MacMasters Beach and inlet, Bouddi National Park where you could do a bush walk right down to this secluded beach, Copacabana had nice big bulky waves to swim in and Avoca pretty and a well known surf spot.
