Bankstown Travel Guide

Cool place to wait for sunsets. All the following were taken outside my house in the direction of Bankstown.

Pizza Hut- All you can eat. It was Great. Unfortunantly months ago they closed down the Great Pizza Hut in Bankstown. The picture shows where Pizza Hut WAS. Though there is alot of great chinese nearby.

Favorite Dish: All You can Eat- Pizza/Pasta/ Desert.

Bankstown has a great transport System.
Trains, Buses and Airplanes. I live some 7 minutes from Bankstown Airport. Mainly light aircraft though it is very busy. I have taken a few joy flights from Bankstown the Sydney and Back around 45minutes all up and great views. The pic is Departing Bankstown airport.

Bankstown Square is a Large two storey Shopping Centre in the center of Bankstown. It's got so many great varied shops of ALL NATURE. From Department stores to a Witchcraft store- its all here. Great food too.

What to buy: Whatever you need, look for discounts there are many.

What to pay: It depends on your shopping mood. Women will spend more than guys- no doubt.

Bankstown has a reputation of having High Crime Levels. Though it is not as bad as they make it out to be. (Cause i live here). Yet Crime can be improved. There are a few shootings here and there/ stabbings etc. Though still they are in rare cases and unfortunantly mainly deal with Drugs and ratial discrimination.

Traffic is all over Bankstown. From all directions you are likely to get frustrated with the traffic, Especially surrounding the Shopping Center and Train Station.

Unique Suggestions: Take A Bus or Train- if you're not patient. Even finding a parking spot at the Shopping complex can be a trafficating experience.

Fun Alternatives: As ABove.

The Cooks River runs through areas of Bankstown and Minutes away from the city center. You have some nice discreet walks across the river. Though the water quality isn't great. It's still good for a breath of morning fresh air- from the Bankstown traffic.

Favorite thing: Just be in the life for one day of a Typical Bankstowner. It's not that bad is it? Bankstown has some cool architecture, like its Churches, and commercial buildings. Though Bankstown doesn't have a distinguished skyline yet.
