This is the swimming hole you jump into from the rock slide. Nice hey :o) Unfortunately to get back up you have to climb up the mountain using tarzan like vines. Mmmm, that's one of the reasons I only went down the rock slide once haha :o)

Well there's a whole managery of 'em here :o) Here's a pic of Janine feeding the possums. Possums are an Australian native that only come out at night and they are a hit with the kids here!! We also saw kangaroos, crows, rainbow lorrakeats, and kookaburras. They have a spotlight tour at night to see the nocturnal animals. If you love Australian animals, then Barrington Tops Guesthouse is a great place to meet them up close.

Like to horse ride? Yep, you can go on a mountain horse ride here. There's also pony rides for the kids. Hubby, Kelli and Dylan went on a horse ride - first time for the kids and they loved it. They looked real cute with their helmets on and I must admit, I was a little aprehensive at first, but they had a great time and Dylan was a little scared when his horse decided to canter a bit :o) Lots of fun for all!!

Well the family finally got me to go down this natural rock water slide. I was scared, but I'm glad I did!! You pelt down this slide real fast and fall into a swirling rock pool, then one of the guides helps you up and then you can jump into the large rock pool below. It was rather fun, but I only did it once :o)

About a five minute walk from the Guesthouse is a mountain stream with lovely rock pools. Its' a great place to cool off and the water is crystal clear. There's also rocks to jump off for the kids and yabby hunting upstream. A great place to end the day and meet up with other friendly people holidaying at the Guesthouse.

There are lovely bush walks to go on. We were taken by bus up to the top of the mountain and walked all the way down. It took us just over half a day and we were ready for a lovely country style lunch when we arrived back at the Guest House. There were a couple of places on the way where we took a detour and swam in the rock pools. We had a lovely time.)

Favorite thing: Barrington Guest House is an Australian heritage guesthouse in the mountains. It is family owned and caters for family holidays. It has bush walking, horse riding, creek swimming, daily activities, and lots more. They should advertise this place more because tourists would love if!! If you want to experience a true Aussie adventure, then do not miss a few days here!!! Believe me, you'll love it!!! :o)
