 | Bondi Beach Things To Do | Tips 1 - 10 of 24 | | It was a little too chilly for me to want to put on a swimsuit and get in the ocean, but we still wanted to go check out the beaches when we were in Sydney. Probably the most famous one is Bondi Beach. We went to the area and had lunch and then found the nice wide, paved walkway along the beach that connected all the beaches. It was a lovely walk. This photo is taken from a the highest point, looking back at Bondi beach. So, even if you don't feel like swimming in the ocean, be sure to take a trip to the beach and have a walk around! So why would you build a great lap pool right next to the world's most known beach? So you can swim year round! The Bondi Icebergs club have been in existance since 1929, and most Iceberg members have a passion for swimming year round, which does not always mean a warm dip! As Sarah and I visited today in April, there were tons of people swimming laps, while the waves crash into the pool! It really is one of the icons of Bondi Beach, and a must see when you are visiting here! It is located on the southern most tip of Bondi, and if you want to join in the fun, take a dip for 4 dollars. September 12, 2004 was the date for this year's 26th Annual Festival of the Winds, and boy, was it windy! All sorts of kites were being flown this weekend, and there were also cultural events scheduled at the pavilion amphitheatre (back courtyard), kite workshops and displays, and lots of kids' activities. Leave a Comment Address: Bondi Pavilion Community Cultural CentrePhone: 02 8362 3400Directions: The Pavilion is on Queen Elizabeth Drive. Look for it down on the beach front, sort of toward the "left" side of the beach as you're looking at the ocean.Website: http://www.waverley.nsw.gov.au/info/pavilion/fotw/

I am not quite sure if there is a way to describe all the different ways I have had Bondi Beach described to me in the past. What I can tell you is that this place is world famous, and if you go there you will know why. As AussieDoug will tell you, it does not have the best surf, nor the best surfers. I can tell you first hand it is not the best food, and I am sure someone will tell you the quality of the sand is not pure grain. That being said, when you get to this beach, you will notice people from all over the world come here to see and be seen. There were alot of bad Paris Hilton look-alikes, plenty of older men in speedos with Dunlap, and a fair share of attractive Australia hunk and hunkettes. Have a gander, it is worth your time! (Make sure you check your times of buses though). Leave a Comment

We arrived in Bondi via bus and were so excited when we spotted the beach. The beach wasn't very crowded since it was a week day morning. A few sun worshipers, surfers and tourists dotted the beach. We even had a TV show being filmed on one part of the beach. Liz and I bought a towel (since we forgot one) at one of the beach shops and set up a spot on the sand. The beach was really beautiful and the water had incredible shades of blue. The weather was perfect in the high 80's with a bit of a breeze. I enjoyed having this fun day at Bondi with Liz. I sat on the beach and took it all in while Liz took a dip in the water (and caused a bit of a commotion with some Japanese Business men..long but funny story). After seeing Bondi for myself I can understand why so many people flock to the beach here. Leave a Comment

It was hot at Bondi Beach. The sun was shinning brightly in the cool winter. The water is so clear and so blue. Wish I could have a swim. Maybe the next time. Leave a Comment

There was this big stone with funny shape on Bondi Beach. So decide to take some poses with it. I am risking my life cos I have to climb high and behind me is the sea. If I were to slip and fall thats the end of me;p Leave a Comment

Watch your steps when you climb. Don't fall into the sea. I love those big rocks where I can climb. It makes my trip to Bondi Beach more exciting. Leave a Comment
