Braidwood is a small town, so the best way to explore is simply by walking around. There is a main street where most of the sights and shops are located.

Best time to visit is during Spring (Sep to Oct) or Autumn (Mar to April) where the weather is cooling and dry, ideal for walking and outdoor activities.

Braidwood is along the highway from Canberra to Batesman Bay. The only way to reach is by driving (about 1 hour from Canberra).

When you reach Braidwood, there are no problems with parking your car as there are many parking lots. You can rent a car in Canberra which is the best way to travel in this region as there are hardly any long distance buses to the various small towns around here.
