Camden Warnings and Dangers
Please watch out on our rural roads. This is a Dead wombat on a quiet dusty road on the way to Joadja.
Stick to walking tracks!
Around camden there are many walking tracks through the bush, keep to the tracks! This is me hello :-)
If your current health insurance doesn't cover you while your abroad, you should consider getting international travel insurance just in case something should go wrong.
Camden Tourist Traps
Picton Tunnel "Ghost Tours"
Im sorry to say but the "Picton Tunnel Ghost Tour" is quiet a rip off. Staying in the haunted (Yes it really is haunted but why pay?) tunnel where a woman got run down by a train in the early 1900's. You sit there with too many people, play around $25 in a tunnel that isnt very long, it gets boring. They say its illegal to go there without their consent, well ive done it many times.
Unique Suggestions: Bring a coat it gets cold in there.
Fun Alternatives: Go to the Tunnel late nights after 12am.
Camden Off The Beaten Path
In the Wollindilly Shire is this beautiful lookout that i say nearly ALL tourists dont know exists (Who instead go to the Blue Mountains- which is also spectacular but touristy)
Favorite thing: Picton is a nearby town SE from Camden. It is a lovely town that is said to be haunted. At day it bustles with life, as you can see this is a historic bridge in Picton.
Favorite thing: They are all over i patted this cutie. It is a "country" town so expect lots of Lambs, Cows, Sheep and Horses.
