Snow Slope
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Snow Slope is a new attraction at the Big Banana and is located adjacent to the theme park, across the side road. We did not have time to visit , however it looked like a lot of money had been spent on building this attraction.

    Coffs Harbour Marina & Harbour
  • Tip Rating:
  • The harbour is the port for the fishing fleet and other commercial marine activity. The marina has many recreational and commercial boats, many catering for tourism with fishing and whale watching charters departing daily.

BRUXNER PARK FLORA RESERVE/ SEALY LOOKOUT
  • Tip Rating:
  • 9kms North of Coffs Harbour, is the turnoff to Sealy lookout and Bruxner Park Reserve. The drive is up a hill, with Banana plantations on either side, with roadside stalls that sell Banana's when they are in season. The views from this narrow road are beautiful, be careful driving, not many places to pull over to stop and take photos. You pass through Eucalypt and Rainforest. On reaching the top, there are views over "Coffs" A picnic area, with tables/chairs, Toilets, Water and BBQ's are here, a nice spot on a hot day. If you wish, there are rainforest walks that you can do.

  • Directions: Driving North (Brisbane way), on the Pacific Highway, turn LEFT after the Opal Centre. The road is signposted to Sealy Lookout.

    "Coff's" Jetty & Marina
  • Tip Rating:
  • A relaxing place to visit for young and old. We walked along the Breakwater wall, here, there were people fishing. On one side was the beach, where people were enjoying themselves, and we saw a couple of skydivers. On the other side was the Marina, Pleasure Boats and Fishing trawlers, and some shops. The Ice-cream shop sold delicious ice-cream, lots of flavours to choose from.
Further on, was Muttonbird Island, here you can do a 1km return walk amongst the burrows, or, in June - September, watch from the viewing platform, the Whales as they migrate to the warmer waters

  • Directions: Turn off at Harbour Drive on the Pacific Highway, and follow it, or, turn off at Orlando street, on the Pacific Highway, and follow this, both ways lead you to the marina.

This lookout is on the same road as to Sealy Lookout. Its located 1/2 km before you reach the top. A dirt road leads you to a seat at the end, where you can enjoy views over the Ocean and surrounds. Its probably a 30 -40min return walk, over a bumpy dirt track.

  • Directions: Take the turnoff on the Pacific Highway that says to Sealy Lookout. This is located 9ks north of Coffs, and is near the Opal Centre.

    BEACON HILL LOOKOUT
  • Tip Rating:
  • This lookout is in Coffs Harbour itself. Located on a hill near the Ocean, you get good views over the Marina & Muttonbird Island, also the Airport and Beaches.

  • Directions: Turn off Harbour Drive into Edinburgh street, this will lead you to the lookout which is next to the Air/Sea Rescue Base.

    "FISH WATCHING"
  • Tip Rating:
  • Make your way to the Coffs Harbour Marina & Jetty, and walk along the boardwalks over the sea. The water is very clear, and here you will see lots of different fish. If you have some bread crumbs, then, you will have a lot more fish to admire.
Entertaining for children and Adults, and its FREE!

  • Directions: Coffs Harbour Jetty & Marina, sea end of Harbour Drive.

    Coff's Harbour Oceanarium
  • Tip Rating:
  • This is a wonderful place that you shouldn't miss! Make sure you see the dolphin shows.

The porpoise pool is fantastic. They will come right up to you if you stand at the side of the pool. One came up to me and stayed there with its mouth wide open waiting to be fed.

    The Big Banana
  • Tip Rating:
  • Even if you don't go inside, drive past so you can say you have seen the 'Big Banana'... ;) There's not a whole lot to do there but it is fun to have a yummy banana split or sunday there...

There are a few things to see and do at the Big Banana - the train tours, gift shop, toboggan ride, cafe, indoor snow slope and more...

It is open 7 days a week...
