    This is hardly a serious danger however you might get a bit of a fright if you are unaware. Have you ever noticed what good parents wild ducks are? I was closely watching two families just recently. One was at the local gardens and the other at the Community Village (where most of the U3A classes are held). At least 8 ducklings were involved in each family and I watched as an unsuspecting visitor to the village approached the ducklings to give one a pat only to be honked, and rushed at with beak a flapping. She jumped back, could have fallen over but didn't thank goodness........no, she didn't get her pat. At the gardens the other day I was creeping up on this family to try and get some close up shots.............guess what? Poppa is here eyeing me off and I guess daring me to come closer..............I didn't. LOL.

    Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, the catchy title of the 1992 bestseller by John Gray, succinctly expresses an ancient dilemma. What--if anything--do men's and women's brains do differently? The general statement that men and women respond and behave differently under the same circumstances is true; For example, from the crib, male babies tend to be more aggressive and females more passive. As adults, in spatial operations, men have the edge in such skills as negotiating a maze, reading a map, and quickly discriminating between right and left. Men also perform better than women when asked to visualize an object and imagine rotating it. On the other hand, women tend to perform better than men when asked to look at objects of different shapes, sizes, and colors, and then to group them in some order. This still doesn't explain why Relinde turns the map all around when I'm asking for the road to travel, while I like the map at one point so I can better visualize our position. Help!

    Well....ok... no one forced me... but it was just one of those things that I couldn't say no to. But the seals do smell a bit and watch out so they don't nibble on you!
