Gerringong Things to Do

  • Hearty Brekky at the Front Porch

As our beachfront cabin had all the amenities and I was very relaxed during the entire holiday I was inspired to use the cooking appliances in the kitchen and made a hearty brekky: my family's fave of pancakes, bacon & eggs. When we first get to our accommodation, we usually know beforehand where to get our supplies ( also for replenishing) as I...

  • Springtime Playing in the Sand

The cold springweather didn't deter my kids in their fave pastime - playing in the sand, while hubby & I watched them, we just chilled out the cool weather huggled along the shores of the beach just a few steps from our cabin.I am stressing that adults should not be complacent and think just because the cabin is nearby you can stay and let the kids...

  • Take the Kids Exploring/Looking at Water...

Exploring the rock pools at Gerringong especially along the beach towards Werri Beach and surrounding areas is a good way to keep the kids occupied. There's plenty to see in every nook and cranny near the cliffs and around the rock pools- crabs, anemones, sea urchins, etc. Our boys, that include my husband, had a ball searching for tiny water...

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

It was our first time to have dinner inside a bowls' club as we failed to see a variety of dining options. We saw the signs of the Chinese restaurant and had to sign ion as guests first at the bowls' club which was not a problem at all.

After that, it was a cheerful start to the night as we were greeted by a friendly face! In short we enjoyed our fave meals without paying too much as well!

Another nice thing about this place is we just walked here while exploring the headlands/beach and found it!

Favorite Dish: We had sweet and sour pork which is always a fave of my two older "boys" (hubby & eldest ok?) My youngest just always like his fish fillets friend so we ordered that too and the sauce we requested to be served separately of course as always as Les never eats the sauce,LOL!

Also we never fail to order Chinese tea though I only drip a little bit as I can only take decaf green or black tea or else I will never fall asleep!

We also liked the short soup, simple but piping hot and hearty enough!
