When visiting the Olympic Park Complex.make sure to stop by the Aquatic Centre for a swim .The facilities are absolutely fabulous..the entree fee is not much and if you are driving they will validate your parking ticket ..so..you park free..its like a free entry fee.This is a popular place for mums and kids in one part of the pools that are being used..so if you want to do "laps" you can without being impeded..I use this facility a lot..There is a wonderful gymnasium here..

Olympic Park has Stadium Tours that you can take showing the visitor parts of the Stadium that only the sports people get to see..Since The Stadiums opening prior to the Games in 1999 all venues were "tried out " to make sure that everything worked..I remember a school athletic carnival with my daughter there...with the many large sporting events held here like the Rugby World Cup and various international football games etc..you can get to see the privileged behind the scenes of this most technologically advanced Stadium..There is a little bus that will take you all around the stadium..They are working on a laser show at the moment that should be good in the tunnnels entering the Main arena..

When arriving at Olympic Park to the right of the Railway Station exit is the Tourist Information Centre..This is really some Information Centre ...they will help you with all the information that you need regarding a really detailed map of the precinct with where to go and what to do.. ..Inside the Tourist Information Center is a display of The history of the site and its construction..There are many items in the souvenir section relating to the games..There is a large map on the wall with places highlighted by pressing information buttons..yes...This is really a helpful Information centre..
HOMEBUSH OLYMPIC PARK
Getting to Olympic park from the city is easy..Trains that are travelling to the west of Sydney is what you want!!...ie: Parramatta , Richmond, Liverpool..usually at platform 17 and 18 check digital timetable boards..!!
Make sure that your train STOPS at Lidcombe station. Change your train here at Lidcombe station for the train to Olympic park..The train is on the other side of the station...Follow directions on the station for Olympic park train.This train will take you into Olympic Park...This is a very large precinct and there is plenty to see here for free.
Have a look at your countries medal winners that are all inlaid in the cement area at the base of the Olympic Flame Stand.!!!.
