You must go for a walk in the Iluka Nature Reserve when you are in Iluka. It is only short and flat but the scenery is beautiful. It is the last piece of littoral (beachfront) rainforest in New South Wales.

But beware! The mosquitos will pick you up and carry you off so use a good repellant. I always use Bushman and it is available at Dizzy Fishing Tackle in town if you have none. I get the dry gel for exposed parts and the spray for on my clothes and head.
