    Visit the Lismore Visitor Centre

For information about Lismore and the surrounds either phone, email or call in to the Visitor Centres....one in Lismore...one in Nimbin.
Before our 2013 trip I emailed in advance checking out the district and a few days later back came a package in the mail.
And I think I used every bit of the information. For sure the map of the scenic route to Nimbin and villages was invaluable.....We had been to Nimbin before but we would never have found our way around the scenic loop.
There was a Market Guide, a walkabout, a 'what to do', accommodation, eating places......you name it ...it was there.

So call in...cnr Ballina Road and Molesworth Streets Lismore....I am sure you will find a friendly welcome awaits you.....and a few 'goodies' to buy...we will have to call in ourselves...and take a photo!...Ample parking....a toddlers playground....a skate board ring....a kids train ride all nearby....and the start of the river walk.

So a few weeks later we call in and say 'hello'...and take a photo for VT.

There is a Visitor Centre at Nimbin as well....+61 2 66891388

    Market Guide for Lismore, Nimbin,&Villages

    by wise23girl Updated Jul 26, 2013

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

In the Northern Rivers District of New South Wales, Australia you will discover markets to delight you in Lismore, Nimbin, and villages along the beautiful hinterland tourist trail ....and the Lismore or Nimbin Visitor Centres will give you a map to guide you on your way as well as a comprehensive brochure setting out places and times and type of market you can visit....for example on the last Saturday of the month you might just love the Funky Flea-Nimbin Bush Theatre Market or the Uki Buttery Bazaar on every 3rd Sunday of the month.
Every weekend there is a market somewhere as well as some weekdays.
You will find these colourful markets brimming over with fresh produce, farmers or hand made craft markets....you will know why Lismore is called 'Rainbow"

Most of the little towns are easily accessible and you can easily drive there and back in the day.

In a couple of spots on the meandering hinterland drive we thought we had taken the wrong turn ...but we were OK and you will be too if you go this way on Market Days..

On our seond visit we called in for some potatoes at the Farmers Market in Lismore Showgrounds....held every Saturday
