Favorite thing: On the way to newnes are some old train tunnels now home to many larvae / glow worms. A short walk from the car park and bring a torch. The rain forrest at the other end is nice and also a setrting off point for a longer walk is available.
Newnes is one of those delightful camping and visiting locations a few hours west of Sydney. Easily reached from Lithgow (40km) North, it offers a peaceful valley that seems like a time and world away from city life.
