So you love country markets....well you are in for a treat around the Lismore region....and you will find one every third Saturday in Mullumbimby. Just find your way to Summers Park on the corner of Stuart and Myocum Streets between 9am - 2pm. Local produce, hand made crafts, and clothing, jewellery, plants and fresh food are for sale. You will love the park with its shady trees and you will love the goods on offer.
Another treat on Market day is a visit to the Old Post Office which houses the local museum....so if you are interested in history this is the place to go.

So we are in Mullumbimby on the banks of the Brunswick River in Northern New South Wales. The town is a little 'hippy' and as you wander round you feel the friendliness of its people. There are a few shops of interest and some old buildings...sorry I have not any history to share... it was just a short visit.
We found a little arcade in the main street and towards the back we spied an eating place...looked like our sort of place...........
The Rock and Roll Coffee Company
And yes the meal was delicious and 'no' I do not have a photo of the food.....but it was a 'different' menu and food was all freshly cooked.
I think we had Staffy Fried Rice/tofu chicken/veggies/fried egg/.... or something like that.....and I had a little cake...not the mass produced variety of course...not in Mullumbimby.
While waiting I explored the vintage clothes shop and the hat and jewellery courtyard and shop...and the people were so nice.

If you want a peaceful camping ground in reach of Mullumbimby (12kms), Byron Bay and all the festivals in the area, try Upper Main Arm's best kept secret, Macas Camping Ground. Plenty of grassy and shaded areas and they put on a shuttle service for clients for festivals such as Bluesfest. See them at www.macascampingground.com
