It was a first time project in an endeavour to help some alternate people start up and build a profitable co-op. Unfortunately there were only a couple of genuine people who wanted to make it work. The rest were a bunch of full on dope-smoking drop kicks who just wanted to party & wreck things for everyone else. Anyway, while we were there, we had a wonderful time going back to nature. Here's a pick of Kelli with here 2 best friends. Their mother lived in a nice big tent :o) They are pictured as follows, Daisy, Kelli and Rose :o) Please enlarge this pic, it's sooo cute, don't you think? haha.
We had a bigger bathtub under the stars. That is my favourite memory of Nimbin. Starting a fire under the tub and having a bath under the stars :o) I also loved skinny dippin' in the local creeks, that is after you got used to the freezing cold water and found a spot where the rocks weren't too slippery or the mud too yukky haha :o) Leave a Comment |

A funny story. Hubby and I purchased a block of land in a community just out side of Nimbin. We bought a couple of cows - Daisy and Milo lol. One day they got out and you should have seen hubby chasing them up the hill in his gum boots rofl!!!! Also did you know cows can hold the cream back out of their milk?!!! Well ours did!!! All we got was runny off-white stuff, yuk!!! I told hubby, forget it - after all his efforts at learning how to milk them (and it sure was funny to see hehee) I decided to go for the powder stuff instead.
The worst part about living in Nimbin was you had to travel 40 mins to Lismore to do the shopping. Living without a fridge was hard too, we had to buy powder milk, yuk!! .............. well at least it was better than the stuff Milo and Daisy gave us lol. Leave a Comment |
Hey guess what,..... I just remembered that there was a goat on our first community. Her milk was actually not bad. Better than Daisy and Milo's haha. Leave a Comment |

Hopefully the map of the Northern Rivers Region will assist you in finding where Nimbin is located. It is not far from many regional towns and for anyony travelling in this area it is worth the effort to visit this character town. Nimbin is located to the right of Kyogle on the photograph.
