Just as the name suggests, this privately owned and maintained rainforest is one of the last remaining in Sydney.
Only 60 minutes drive from Sydney city, this true Australian rainforest hosts almost 200 species of rainforest flora and sanctuary to more than 126 species of native birds.
Open Wednesday to Sunday and all public holidays from 10am to 5pm.

Visiting tips
Other than picnicking, this can be viewed as an outdoor experience, so they suggest you bring a change of familiar shoes, jumper and disposable raincoat (they also sell raincoats). The forest walk is ecologically sustainable with outdoor foot access only (no wheel or motor access).

The only place to be on a thursday night in Ourimbah. Basically just a poker night with about 100 people playing to start. Some cash prizes at the end, and a nice looking plaque. Cheap beers as well!
Dress Code: No thongs, footy shorts or singlets.
