All types: Something for everyone
This is one place where you don't have to wonder "Where are all the tourists". Roche's has become a mecca for them and, not without reason.
What to buy: You can wander through this touristy complex and splash out on chocolate, fine art, food and beverages, fashion etc. ad nauseum.
Situated adjacent to the Hunter Valley Gardens it has ample parking space, play area for the kids, a pleasant rural outlook and a nice laid back atmosphere.
What to pay: Things here tend to be me a bit more expensive but, in many cases, they're also exclusive.

Small WInemakers Centre: Hidden treasure
An appendage on the Blaxland's Restaurant is all it is, though the relationship is not entirely happy as you can't buy one of their wines and drink it with your meal if you're dining at Blaxland's.
What to buy: The beauty of the place is you tend to get some really good quality wines. Some are made especially for a purpose and the excess are sold here, others just funnel their wares through this venue.
Wherever they come from, the standard is good and, acting on a tip from a friend who knows, I now buy my wines there.
Reds and whites are both available but varieties vary as they come to hand so what's available today may not be there tomorrow.
What to pay: You will pay marginally above what you can get in a liquor store, but, these aren't available in a liquor store! Around $20Aus would be a rough guide but you can pay up to $90.
