This is the name of the Craft shop at Silverton.
It does have a meaning, and one you need to be aware of.
The sealed road to Silverton is like a roller coaster ride, we went up and we came down! The road has all these dips to let the water flow away when heavy rains arrive. On the road is written how deep the water level would be if up to that point, that way you would know if safe to drive through. ON the way back to Broken Hill from Silverton, we counted the dips, and sure enough, there are about 39 dips.
This is an extremely hot place with its red earth and infinite blue skies also it has extreme temperatures. There are a few really good photo opportunities in and around Silverton...Make sure that you Always have water with you out here.. Although it is only a small town lots of people wander about out here and the extreme heat can create dehydration if fluids are not replaced.Always wear a hat and sunglasses out here in "outback "OZ
SILVERTON Being a very hot and dry place and out here the amount of flies and insects in the summer heat was really annoying. When "out and about" make sure that you are using a reliable insect repellant at all times. I always spray my clothes with a light spray before heading out..I found this to be affective. Unfortunately so much of Australias hot outback interior is just infested with flies. Though not that much of a disease problem they are really annoying. O Yes!!! keep your mouth closed and breathe through your nose.!!!
