Australia has a wide range of bush flora, many of which are hardy and can survive any weather! Every fair dinkum Aussie knows at least a few shrubs, trees, etc which must be protected especially when out bushwalking. You must not take anything out of the bush! There are Eucalyptus trees/gum trees, grevilleas, bottle brushes and the like which add beauty to our bush so you must be careful not to harm these essential part of the Bush., The gum trees for instance are the home of the koalas!

Bundeena seems to have almost everything- untouched beaches, surrounded by Royal National Park, cultural and historical walks, a thriving art scene, unforgettable dive sites and aboriginal rock carvings. They are just a handful of the many attractions this town has to offer and will certainly please the fussiest of tourists!
We love coming back here! When we were first dating, we found our love growing more for each other (my hubby & I) as we discover we like the bush a lot! Then when the kids are older and able to go bushwalking with us, we shared with them the beauty of the bush. They too are enjoying it immensely., So can you!

Viewing and studying Australian native plants especially those in the bushes is a very enriching experience! Our familyloves the Australian bush and makes every effort to get to know the diverse flora and fauna around us! The best way to acquaint yourself with these beautiful creatures is visit the bush- your best bet is going to the national parks, like Royal National Park at Audley, at the Sutherland shire, south of Sydney.

This is one of our family's fave pastimes and we always come home invigorated as we walk around the many beautiful bush tracks at the Royal NAtional Park. There are several walking tracks to choose from depending on your ability/strengths, etc.. But whatever you choose, whether a half hour to around 2- 5 hours of bushwalking, you will be justly rewarded! The most amazoing and unforgettable views will greet you wherever you are in this park!
Families with young kids will do well to go to the Visitor's Centre at Audley, accessing it from King Georges River Road. This is a scenic route so prepare to be amazed!
But the best ones are inside the park, with a vehicle day pass at $11 you can't go wrong! We usually pass by this place also on our way to Canberra and there are picnic tables and barbecue facilities including toilet and even shower facilities.

When bushwalking around the Australian bush, it is very important that you KEEP on the track. It means you DON'T veer away from the track that is allowed for use for bushwalkers. One can easily get lost as the bush is so harsh whether it is winter or summer. When in doubt, always use the track that is meant for the average bushwalker, NEVER get out of the walking track as you can really get confused as the shrubs, plants, etc look the same! If you follow directions at all times you will be safe! Our family makes sure we follow this important rule!

In the Australian bush, it can be tricky weather especially in winter!Or, can be light when you're walking and gets dark quickly! make sure you are well equipped if you plan to stay longer. Make sure you only stay at well marked areas! It is hard to get out when it's dark!
