Favorite thing:
Have a drink near a beach and go back by ferry to Circular Quay
Fondest memory:
When I think of Sydney this one sunday evening always crosses my mind. Imagine you're sitting on a nice terrace near the Pacific (near Manly beach), a band plays jazzy music, the sun sets down and you drink a nice Chardonnay with friends. Once it gets dark take the ferry to Circular Quay and just enjoy Sydney's skyline. I had a wonderful time!
Favorite thing:
Explore all the little bays and beaches around Sydney Harbour and the coast. Although you could probably spend half a lifetime doing it, you can start at Fairy Bower (Manly) or Lady Neilson Park (Rose Bay) - or for a day trip, get on any number of buses that go to the Northern Beaches. There is nothing quite like lazing under a big eucalypt tree on the shores of the Harbour sipping wine or soaking up a good book!!! Be liberal with your sunscreen!. Fondest memory:
The Domain concerts in summer time. Unbelievable atmosphere. I am always amazed by the fruit bats that are flying overhead as the symphony, opera or jazz concert is in full swing. Maybe the bats like it as well. And for some reason, nature always likes to threaten and dazzle the masses with awesome displays of lightning on the very night that the concerts are on!
Favorite thing: BONDI BEACH - is Australia's most famous beach and among the world's most well-known beaches. It is located in Waverley in East Sydney. The beach is about one kilo long and enclosed at the north and south by headlands. A walk on the beach promenade is a must. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, hostels, hotels, a variety of shops. It's best to go there by public transport. Take the Blue Bus.....'BONDI & BAY EXPLORER'.
Favorite thing:
Take the Manly Ferry from circular Quay on a sunny day (there are lots) to Manly and walk along the Corso to the beach, stroll to North Queenscliff and return for lunch at one of the sidewalk cafes or resturants overlooking the sea.
Fondest memory:
Driving up to Whale Beach on one of Sydneys Crystal clear mild winter days days, parking the car and walking the cliff top coast road to Palm Beach for lunch. See how the wealthy live in paradise.
Favorite thing:
although the beach is quite often plagued by seaweed, if the swell is right, it is a pretty good place for a surf.
failing talent, it can still be enjoyed at sunrise.
Favorite thing:
Since its first day as a resort, Manly's catchcry has been "seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care".
Fondest memory:
Watching the sea, the surf and the surfers!
Favorite thing: Manly beach in Sydney is one of the citys busiest beaches, i expect it to be even more crowded this summer.
Favorite thing: visit the beaches , make a harbour cruise, take advantage of the excellent ferry-transportations..there is the famous Bondi-beach, but also plenty of hidden beaches
