    Sydney skyline at twilight

Favorite thing: Sydney has one of the most beautiful skylines in the world. Sydney is the city The Matrix trilogy was filmed in. From the Manly ferry you have an amazing view of the skyline, especially just after sunset. Other good spots for a good view of the skyline are from the northern side of the Harbour Bridge, other side of the Pyrmont Bridge in Darling Harbour and from the rooftop of Harbour City Backpackers.

A modern city aside the Harbour

Favorite thing: To get a real feel for the centre of Sydney, head for the Botanical Gardens at the Harbour shoreline. From here you will not only get fantastic views of those 2 Sydney icons side-by-side (try and go in the morning when the sun is behind you and you get the best light for photos), but also the CBD skyline. Both this photo and the photo for the next tip are taken from the same spot, slightly different angle! (in fact its the same water taxi -:))

    Contrast of styles

    Sandstone and skyscraper

Favorite thing: At times in Sydney there's a juxtaposition of styles, especially when you get classic sandstone in front of typical glass skyscraper.

Fondest memory: I like just walking along and noting the difference, it's almost like wandering through an architectural art gallery with modern and classic intermixed.
Picture 4 was taken in Pitt Street while 3 & 5 are from Darling Harbour.
Picture 2 reminds me somewhat of a spaceship about to be launched.

Favorite thing: Sydney has 200 year old history and you can find old things but you will find the new buildings too. I like this together. That is why I did this picture.
