    Home Nightclub: Home sweet Home

    Nightclub during the day...

Home, Sydney's House of Music, is well located in Darling Harbour with 3 levels, multiple rooms, flashy and modern decor, good sound system (do not forget your earplug), great view from balcony (watch your steep in the stairs) and accessible bars with efficient service.

I would classify Home in (too?) big international nightclub. With that size it could be difficult to get a likeable atmosphere especially if the dance floor is half full or empty... Unfortunately during my Home night, many rooms were booked for a private party.

But sure you will get a good night here by looking your night feeling and happiness among the several dance floors, rooms (silver, crystal rooms), mezzanine, top roof terrace and the beautiful crowd...

Before to go Home: along the Cockle Bay Wharf you will find nice bars to warn up your night...

Just have a look to the next events and DJ's clubbing @ Home!

The most common place to socialize in Sydney is in the pubs and bars. The majority of them are actually part of hotels, but they may as well be bars because they all look the same. With very liberal opening hours (most of the pubs stay open until 4 am) you won’t need nightclubs to go to.
"Home" Nightclub is located on cockle bay warf, friday saturday and sunday nights there is a line around the building (probably 2 hour wait to get in) its crazy~~ but a cool place to hang out.

Located next to Home Club,(it's runned by the same company) this is for a much hip crowd then the ones who gather at Home Club, located in Cockle Bay Wharf in Darling Harbour the trendy crowd gathers early and stay long !!!! This is more of a lounge with great mix of music and not just the constant pounding of rave in the backround........

    Dress Code: No jeans !!!!

3 floors, numerous bars, a great dancefloor and chill out areas ... this is a Sydney clubber's mecca. It has a 2000 capacity crowd and often fills to its capacity. This is where top international DJs choose to play if they come to Sydney, and the resident DJs are not bad either! This is the crowd who is responsible for one of Sydney's biggests NYE events, Mobile Home (a massive outdoor Dance Party on Bondi Beach) $25 entry fee. Great for 18-25 year olds. During the day 10am-10pm, it is converted to Home Bar, where you can hang and have a bite to eat and drink by the water.

Dress Code: Young and funky (pic left: the epitome of grooviness... yeah baby!)

Well, not so much of a recommendation but a word of warning ...

We wanted to visit Home in Darling harbour and queued for over an hour only to be told that we were not allowed in with ID. I was 28 at the time, and didn't expect to be asked this. It may have been because of the Olympics, but it's worth being aware of all the same ...

Now I had a good laugh when I first visited Sydney. I noticed there were a lot of hotels..thinking aahh those darn Aussies! ;) Well, hotels here equate to pubs and you will definitely find lots of them. If you're in the Rocks, try ORIENT HOTEL Okay a bit touristy but great ambiance, especially their courtyard.

    Other popular spots:
SLIPP INN 111 Sussex Classy joint and apparently enough for Tom Cruise whom my friend spotted. However, don't confused it with SHIP INN in Circular Quay!

HOME Cockle Bay Wharf at Darling Harbour. Three levels of dance floors. This is the biggest in Sydney and what a location! If you rather just chill out with a drink HOME also has a bar right next to the club.

ESTABLISHMENT George St. Brought to you by the same guys as SLIP INN. Major cool hangout place for Friday night drinking. Hope you don't mind the queue outside...

I'll come back again for this subject soon.

Home Nightclub.: Big, but a bit boring !!!!

    place is always packed !!!

This club is legendary in Sydney for the size, but the music is somewhat RAVE, RAVE, and more RAVE !!!! there is a small hip hop room on the second floor, but the DJ needs to learn more about hip hop if he plans on playing it at a club !!!!! there are 3 floors, with the upstairs patio area reserved for the club's VIP !!! but there is nothing really special about this place.........maybe if your younger than 20 than it's a big deal.....liquor is sold to anyone older than 18....so at opening time at 11:00 p.m. the vast majority of people standing in line are the 18 yr old, so when the club opens, they could rush the bar, After paying $25 to get in !!!!! a far better place is the HOME BAR (same building, same company) next door to it....a much older crowd with far better music !!!!!
