    Everything is more expensive than in Canada but available

  • If you're arriving on summertime, you'd probably want to have a swim in one of its beaches. So bring your swimwear with you. Or you could buy them in Sydney.

  • Summer weather in Sydney is warm to hot. Basically, you need to bring light weight trousers, shorts, t/shirts/ swimmers/ flip flops (thongs)good evening shoes and smart casual clothes for evening wear.

  • Bring socks and a jacket if coming here during winter (june-august). It actually gets quite cold during night!

  • Do not underestimate the winter (June-July)... it is very cold especially when there is wind as well as at coastal and mountainous areas. Layers would be the best - a long sleeve T-shirt / sweater, a fleece and a windbreaker.

  • Summer - Sydney can get very hot. It is also very humid. So bring lots of t-shirts and shorts and skirts - things that are light and that will breathe. Brining a jacket won't do you any harm either as sometimes it can get a bit cool in the evenings. Sandles and thongs are great too - especially if you intend to spend lots of time at the beach! Winter - Winter doesn't get too cold here. I suggest you have a jacket with jeans and a long sleeved top underneath. If you are travelling to places such as blue mountains I suggest gloves and a scarf - boots and sneakers are great - and usually if it's not to cold you can wear a skirt with boots, long sleeved top and jacket and that will be plenty warm enough.

    We have very good medical facilities over here - but you would probably pack your usual, headache relief etc

    Of course lots and lots of film. If you want to capture our city / harbour by night a tripod is also suggested for landscape / panoramic shots

  • This is a very casual city. If you're not on business travel, pack neat casual clothes with you. Shorts can be worn on the streets and pubs, but some upmarket areas or clubs do not tolerate them.

  • Wear comfortable shoes ! It was really warm when I was in Sydney but then again, the weather is quick changing and in the evening it can be quite cool.

    Can be easily found.

    Can be easily found but I brought my own as getting them from home was much cheaper !
