 | Sydney Wolfies Reviews | Tips 1 - 4 of 4 | | As the restaurants here have a full view of the Opera House and harbour, the atmosphere is quite unique. An evening here will not be forgotten.Campbell's Cove is located opposite the Opera House at Circular Quay. The building is historically significant to Sydney, as they are original warehouses on the harbourfront. It has been split into four or five excellent restaurants with great food and friendly professional service. My favourites are Wolfies and the Waterfront. At Wolfies you can get modern Australian food - steak, lamb and some local food, while the Waterfront is predictably seafood, but also with a modern Australian twist. As these places are well established and on the tourist track, don't expect to get a full three course meal for less than A$50 a head, but it is still quite reasonable compared to other places.
Various, but the seafood and steak is excellent Theme: OtherDirections: Between Circular Quay rail station and the Harbour Bridge - opposite the Opera House. |
Rockpool. We arrived without reservations and they very graciously seated us. We weren't rushed even though there were people coming for our table. Wolfies was good too, a bit more touristy but good service and good food.
John Dory at the Rockpool and Barramundi at Wolfies. I would order both again Theme: Other |
This restaurant offers spectacular views of both the Harbour Bridge and the opera House. There's a huge terrace outside, which is heated in case of colder weather. The food is great and in combination with the extraordinary view it's a great place for dinner. One of the best locations in Sydney, harbour, bridge & Opera House all within a few metres. Excellent food with plenty of options. They offer a lunchtime special of two courses from the three course menu for $33. Choose from pasta, risotto, fish of the day, chicken, BBQ ribs, pie, kangaroo loin, steak for the main course. Then choose either to start with salad, grilled calamari, pasta, bruschetta or indulge in a dessert of gelato, pavlova, chocolate truffle or vanilla bean creme brulee.
Geina said her caesar salad was the 'best ever' and she followed it with BBQ ribs, which was a huge slab with very tasty BBQ sauce. I had the excellent and very fresh grilled fish and followed that with vanilla bean creme brulee.
